Jacob Kasar is a British Artist working across Painting, Moving Image and Sculpture, whose work deals with the themes of language and the representation of invisible labour processes. Kasar (b. 1994) uses Paper Sculptures derived from Digital Models, and their unfolded nets, to unpack the apparatus framing physical objects and their unfixed dimensions in virtual space. Recurring in his work is a scrutiny of Sculptures’ relationship to, and capacity to break with, the determinations of language.
Jacob Kasar is a member of the Black Constellation collective along with the artists Nep Sidhu, Nicholas Galanin and others. He has exhibited internationally, and been commissioned by the Research Group WOV (Reducing Organisational Vulnerability of Women) and the Open University. He was awarded the ACE’s DYCP grant in 2024 and shortlisted for New Contemporaries in 2026.
